Meet the Heat You Actually Need
We built these Short wave halogen infrared lamps for engineers who need heat—fast—and can’t afford to waste time or space. Picture this: intense, focused heat that hits your target directly, without turning the whole room into a sauna. It’s the kind of heat that gives you speed and control when it matters most, especially in tight industrial spots. Think plastic processing, component drying—anywhere you need to move quickly without sacrificing precision.
Power in a Small Package
Here’s the core of what we designed: a compact lamp that punches way above its weight. A typical unit is a 300mm tube that runs at 2500W, usually on 400V. That combo isn’t an accident. It packs serious thermal power into a small footprint, so you can fit intense heat into machines where space is at a premium. But with that kind of power, there’s a trade-off. The 400V input means you’ll need a dedicated circuit, and that concentrated heat means the surrounding machinery needs proper cooling. Get your electrical and thermal setup right, and everything runs smooth. Miss it, and both the lamp and nearby parts can take a hit.
The Inside Story: Clean Heat, Built to Last
Inside, you’ve got a halogen cycle running inside a quartz tube. That chemistry keeps the filament clean, even at scorching temps, which helps the lamp last longer and keeps the output steady. The tube is also coated to reflect infrared energy forward. So instead of wasting heat backward, more of it goes straight where you need it. It’s simple, but it makes a real difference in efficiency.
Installation? Straightforward.
We kept installation simple. These lamps use standard connectors like R7s, so you can wire them in as a direct replacement for what you already have. That R7s base gives you a secure, low-resistance connection that holds up to the vibration and temperature swings of a production floor. No fuss, just reliable performance.
Where It Shines—And What It Feels Like
Out in the real world, these lamps really shine in applications like PET blowing and thermoforming. Short wave infrared gets absorbed fast by plastics, which means quicker heating cycles and less wasted energy. That quick response gives you tight control over the heating profile—exactly what you need to keep product quality consistent. And for you on the floor? It means faster line speeds and fewer headaches. The lamp hits temperature instantly—no waiting around for an oven to warm up. One last note: the design is tough, but it’s not indestructible. Handle it with care when you install it, and make sure your mounting hardware can handle the thermal expansion of the quartz tube. Do that, and you’ll get the performance you need, day after day.
