That’s exactly why we built these 220V quartz halogen lamps. The power side of things At 350mm, these fit right into most mid-sized ovens. Because they run at 220V, they pump out concentrated short-wave infrared radiation. In plain English? The heat sinks into the plastic wall almost instantly. It makes your ramp-up time incredibly fast. And when your ramp-up is fast, your cycle times stay low. Just a heads-up, though: don’t push the wattage past what your power supply can handle. If you do, you’ll likely fry the filament way sooner than you should. Why we use quartz and SK15 terminals We went with high-purity quartz glass for a reason. These lamps cycle on and off constantly, and that creates a lot of thermal shock. Quartz can take the hit without cracking. Plus, we add halogen gas inside to stop the tungsten filament from evaporating and clouding up the glass. This keeps the tube clear and the heat steady for the long haul. Then there’s the SK15 connector. It’s a simple, spring-loaded, push-in terminal. We ditched the screw terminals because machines vibrate, and screws loosen. With these, you just pop them in. It’s a quick swap that takes minutes, and you don’t have to worry about loose connections causing nasty arcs. Getting it right in the oven Here’s the thing: consistency is everything. If you have a cold spot, you end up with a bottle that has uneven walls. Not a good look. To keep things running smooth, keep those tubes spotless. A single fingerprint or a smudge of oil can create a hot spot that burns the tube out. Also, make sure your reflection shields are polished. You want that energy hitting the plastic, not just soaking into the frame of your machine.
