
Let’s talk about the 1100mm Quartz IR Lamp
We built these 1100mm quartz halogen elements for when you need a massive amount of infrared heat, and you need it now. At 2000W and 220V, these aren’t your average bulbs. They’re designed to throw a serious amount of heat across a wide area without any lag.
The power and the size
The 1100mm length is a bit of a beast, but that’s the point. It covers a lot of ground. Because we’ve tuned the filament to hit its operating temp almost instantly, you get a really fast ramp-up. But a quick heads-up: if you’re swapping one of these into an older machine,please check your wiring. Pushing 2000W through a single 220V line can really stress out thin cables. You don’t want your wiring to be the weak link here.
Why quartz and halogen?
We wrap the tungsten filament in high-purity quartz. Inside, there’s halogen gas that does a clever little trick—it stops the filament from evaporating too fast by pushing the tungsten back onto the wire. That means the lamp lasts longer and the heat stays steady. Plus, since this is shortwave IR, the heat travels in a straight shot. It hits your target directly instead of wasting time trying to warm up the air in between. It’s just more efficient.
Getting it installed (and a few warnings)
These are usually a simple drop-in fix for things like PET blowing or industrial curing lines. They’re easy to wire up, but here is the most important part:use gloves. Seriously. Even a tiny bit of oil from your fingerprints can create a hot spot on the quartz. When the lamp heats up, that spot becomes a stress point, and the glass can crack. It’s a frustrating way to ruin a brand-new lamp. One last thing. 2000W in a tube this size creates an intense amount of radiant heat. Make sure your housing and reflectors are actually built to handle it. And keep an eye on your cooling fans—if they quit, everything around the lamp is going to bake.
