Packing 1500W into a 354mm frame creates a serious heat footprint. Now, normally, that kind of power would eat through a tungsten filament in no time. But we added a halogen gas fill. It stops the filament from evaporating too quickly, so the lamp doesn’t just burn out the moment you start cycling it. It’s tough. And it gets to operating temperature in a matter of seconds.
